It's simple! Just enter the number first, and then the name of the street!

Ex : 2, Lakestreet !

Because, if you put the name of the street first, it is no longer possible for you to indicate the number 😉

To guarantee the best use of Safone, we need some essential information (email address and telephone number). We pay special attention to the protection of privacy, and we are committed to respecting the confidentiality of the personal information that we collect through our services.

How do I get started with Safone?

A.

In the app, go to the homepage (select "return to Safone" if you are in the menu) :

  1. Enter your destination in the field provided for this purpose.
  2. Select your means of transport so that Safone cam calculate the best arrival time.
  3. Select "choose my guardians" and choose your guardians from your list
  4. Select "start with this guaridan, and go!

What information is sent to my guardians?

A.

  1. When you have started a trip : your guardian receives a notification that informs him of your departure, gives your location at the time of your departure, and gives your estimated arrival time.
  2. When you check-in : your guardian receives a notification informing him of your location at the time of check-in, which can also be accompanied via a personalized message.
  3. When you activate and deactivate the alarm : your guardian will receive a notification informing him that you have enabled your Safone alarm and gives your location at the time of the activation/deactivation.
  4. When you arrive at your destination : your guard receives a notification informing him that you have arrived, and gives him your location at the time of your arrival (automatic or manual).

How do you activate the Safone alarm?

The Safone alarm can be activated as soon as you start a trip. To activate it, there are two methods:

  1. you unplug the headphones to your phone
  2. or you click on the button "help" in the app

In both cases, the phone turns into alarm and produces a strident ring.

Does Safone follow my location and my itinerary in real time?

A.

No! Safone is not a tracking system. And you are the one who decides when and to whom you transmit the information related to each trip. Your location and your directions are not tracked online, tracking is impossible. Safone only transmits your location at 3 specific times: departure, your possible check-in and arrival.

Why should I give Safone access to my contacts?

A.

Access to your contacts list allows you to choose your guardians (up to 5 guardians can be selected simultaneously to complete your "my guardians" section). At no time does Safone have access to your phone or sim card's directory. Safone only knows the name and the telephone number of the guardians you selected.

Does Safone use a lot of battery?

A.

Safone consumes little battery. However, the use of GPS to locate you is likely to reduce its life. In order to conserve it, Safone checks in every 30 minutes that you are always on the move, reminding you that it is active.

Does Safone use a lot of 3/4G data?

No, Safone consumes very little data.

Can I leave the app during a trip?

A.

Of course! During a Safone trip, you are free to use your phone as you wish, or simply put it on standby. It is recommended to plug in your headphones, for faster use of the alarm if needed.

What is the “pin code” for ?

A.

When you sign up for Safone, you are prompted to create a 4-character pin code. This pin code will be requested in 2 situations:

  1. When you want to disable the alarm
  2. When you want to make a manual arrival at the end of a trip

You can change your pin code : in the app, go to the "pin code" section.

What is the “password” for ?

A.

The password combined with your user name allows you to log in to and use Safone.

You can change your password : in the app, go to the "my account" section, select "change", and then "change the password".
